Isobutane (R600a) Demand for Isobutane continues to expand rapidly as more OEM’s seek to replace traditional refrigerants with more environmentally friendly alternatives. Used extensively as a refrigerant until the late 1950,s, isobutane (R600a) is now the most common current hydrocarbon refrigerant and is used mainly in domestic applications outside of the US from Europe to China. Advanced Gas Technologies uses a combination of purification techniques to ensure that our R600a achieves a minimum purity of 99.5% with < 10pm moisture. Lower purities from 95% for less demanding applications with the same low moisture content are also available and we are able to supply in a range of container sizes up to iso containers with 26,600lbs. If you are looking for a non refrigeration grade then we have the highest commerically available purities of isobutane with up to 99.99% as a standard products and 99.999% available as a custom purity.
