Our manufacturing excellence extends into the mixing of our products into blends used in a variety of different applications. As well as this, our large scale weighing platforms and compressor equipment allow us to manufacture these blends in tube trailers and iso containers as well as our standard large cylinder sizes. Couple this with a wide range of analytical equipment in our laboratory and we have un- unbeatable reputation as a supplier of a wide range of high quality gas and liquid mixtures. Examples of recent blends include : 7 component gaseous hydrocarbon mixtures in tube trailers used to test a reforming catalyst 4 component synthetic gas mixes supplied in tube trailers 3 component carbon monoxide based mixes supplied in tube trailers for the food packaging industry 3 component liquid hydrocarbon mixes supplied in ISO containers for refrigeration applications Although we welcome enquiries for large volumes of any blend our low overheads and ability to control manufacturing costs mean that we are at our most competitive for blends containing hydrocarbons or carbon monoxide along with balance gases of nitrogen, hydrogen and helium. Expansion Plans Advanced Gas completed a major land acquisition in May 2005 more than doubling the size of our existing land area to an impressive 7 acres. President David Wilson said “This major investment on behalf of Advanced Gas gives us an unprecedented opportunity to significantly expand our existing activities into some exciting new manufacturing areas as well as giving us the ability to scale up manufacturing of key current products”. Immediate expansion plans for us over the coming 12 months include a new purification column for propylene which will more than double our existing capacity as well as 2 new trailer bays for iso container and bulk blending (see newsletter May 05) 2-Butenes Update Production of our range of 2-butenes has been delayed due to space restrictions. However, after our new land acquisition we are expecting to be able to supply both cis and trans 2 butenes by end October 2005. More news in coming issues of Advanced News !.
